Painted the rust spots on my beater car

WITH A BRUSH! Yeah, I know, but it's such a piece anyway. I color matched some exterior oil based paint at Home Depot for $13 and brushed it over slightly sanded rust spots on the lower door panels and here you have it. At 25 feet it's a beautiful thing. Ha!

  2. What a job well done! The transformation is amazing! I wouldn’t suspect that there something happened to the car if I haven’t seen the second photo. How long did the process take? The car looks more decent, and I bet that some people would actually think that it's newly bought car.

  3. That's a good repainting job! But I think you should have the rust completely removed before repainting it, so that it won't interfere with the paint and it might flake off easily. I suggest you use a rust removal solution first before you paint it next time.

  4. Woah! Rust spots really ruined the look of your car. There are times that painting the car doesn't guarantee that the rust will be totally removed, since some are already chipping away. If it happens, you can already use spray paint so that it can stick better on the car. :)
