Bob's 52 Ford F1 Project

Have a gander at Bob's latest project, a 1952 Ford F-1. This straight six powered relic was plucked from the pacific northwest state of Washington by Ocean Pro owner Ken Klus and relocated to San Clemente, CA. After hanging out in Kenny's back lot for a few years Bob was able to swoop it up for pennies on the dollar and brought it back to life.
The truck is currently roadworthy and runs like a champ. With a little more bodywork and paint we should start to see this one showing up to meetings.

Yep, we're talking about the one in the front.

Installation of the grille and headlights will have
this pup ready for night time cruising.

Decklids For Everyone

Thanks to Micky for letting me borrow his Brookville Model A deck lid ( on the left) so I could reverse engineer it and make a few skins up (right side). They aren't perfect, but they are really close and will only get better the more I fab up. Gonna be nice to peddle a few of these at the Big 3 next weekend!

Touch Up Paint

Well, with the much needed help of O.C Gabe at Orange Circle Tattoo I got my first line work session on a long awaited revision done last night. I can't believe I waited nearly 12 years to get going on this cover up. Ironically enough, I'm not the only one who's been waiting that long to do this tattoo either. According to Gabe, he has done quite a few back pieces in his career. But after being here in Southern California, the "Hot Rod Mecca" for almost a decade has not had the opportunity, until now, to do a "Hot Rod" themed back piece since coming to America from Hungary.
The next step will be a couple more laser removal sessions on a few specific portions in order to help make the old art disappear, and help complete the new art without a trace of it's past. Next on the list for this tattoo will be adding a Model A pickup underneath her to give the appearance that she is sitting on it's hood. I can't wait to get that going and really give this makeover a good Hot Rod look.

James Stewart Funny Business

OK, So I hi-jacked this from James Stewart, Supercross and Outdoor MX racing legend's  twitter account. First question I have...Is that gold chain on this guys neck for real or just part of the T shirt design? Since homie flies everywhere in a private jet I am assuming it's the real thing. But lets be honest, it looks like a 2 foot section of VIP barricade rope. I'm guessing one of us could build 2 or 3 nice Hot Rod A's for the cost of that hardware.

So the reason I posted this is because we have the NHRA Winter Nationals going on this weekend in Pomona and I will be in attendance with the little lady.  Apparently someone over at Napa Racing is pumped on JS7 and here we have a photo of James perched up in Ron Capps funny car. Are you jealous? I am....

Here's an update with Daniel A's sedan chassis. Pumped to see an old school rear end

Trophy Tech

Check out this thread on how Chris from the Emperors cc built their Suede Palace pick trophy for 2012. I was there and think it was one of the coolest trophies there since it did not need pin striping.
