ACES Poker Run 2012 PHOTOS

The Southern California ACEScc third annual reliability run went of with a bang! The curvy Trabuco Canyon roadways and great California weather made for another great event. With tons of Hot Rods, Sleds, and Customs in attendance the scene was a good one for sure!

The price was right, the genuine Rose Canyon Cantina lunch that was included with every entry was tasty, and the live music was hoppin. Scroll down below to see some amazing images captured by Swiss ACES member Marc Wöltinger from this years event. Video from the event will be coming soon.

Another ACE in the deck of cards.

Hey everybody we're proud to announce the addition of a new member to the club. Let's have a greasy welcome for a great guy, Dave Roach. Dave has been rolling around with the club to various events over the past year and kicking some ass in his big block powered coupe. Come say hi at this years poker run just a week away.

Bonneville Or Bust!

I have been trying to get out to Bonneville for some time now and never could quite find the motivation needed to make it happen. This year I was lucky enough to score a filming job with a team and finally have a paid way to the salt. I've been hearing stories of comraderie and great times for years now from fellow ACE Gerry and now I am finally here to experience it. Been having a great time out here with Gerry and all of the people involved.
Check back for updates and pics.

PROGRESS REPORT: Bob's Ford Pick Up

It's been a while since we've had an update on Bob's pick up build and by the looks of it's current status, Bob has been hard at work . With fellow ACES member Randy's help, there has been some real headway made on this truck. Scheduled completion is forecast in the next two weeks so expect to see this one puling up at your local cruise night soon.

Mid Week Garage Day

I had a great day in the garage today with fellow ACES member Gerry working out some new ideas for the brake system on the 27 T. With a bitchen Wilwood dual master cylinder set up hidden under the cowl, there can be problems only creative solutions can cure. Thankfully Rob Juniper (another ACE) came up with the idea to run the hard lines through the cowl and down to the bottom of the body to mate up with the front and rear system, which was something I have never seen and sounded cool too so I signed off on that idea immediately. Way to go Roberto.
I gotta give Gerry credit when it comes to his brake line bending skills too. We made a ton of progress today and I can't wait to get back out there tomorrow and push even further forward.

ACES Resurrection BBQ

After a great day in Downtown Santa Ana for the 10th annual Hot Rod Resurrection, a good group of ACES, friends of the club and family members cruised back to the house for a quality cook out. Grilled burgers, wings, jello shots and beers. Great way to finish the day. We even got to do some mid party fabrication to Dave's hot rod pick up. Thank You to everyone who contributed and came out to support.

ACES hard at work in the garage getting Dave's truck back on the road.

Orange Circle Tattoo Gabe and his little boy Barango.

Good thing there's no carb, cuz I was too drunk to drive!
